Thinking about Diet Coke because of a comment someone left on my scrine sentence. I love my mid-day soda and i'd have a hard time giving it up, though I'm told it's not good. I was thinking so hard about it that I almost put ice cubes in my coffee cup.
I got the kids to bed rather late last night so it will be hard to wake them this morning. They have to stay up late tonight, though then it's going to be SATURDAY! H'ray! And we can sleep in.
Today I'm going to go up to the city to play all day, since Manny is doing school pickup. C. and I will go to North Beach for lunch and then hang out in Chinatown for part of the afternoon. Possibly get some coffee and people watch.

I gave up diet soda (which I did feel was affecting me, but I'm pretty sensitive to chemicals) and at first I went back to an occasional full-sugar soda (they really don't have all that many calories and they give a great boost) and occasional iced coffee - the leftovers from the morning pot, just turn it off to cool before it gets bitter, add ice cubes and milk and bingo, free drink with caffiene and flavor.
Two years later now, and I don't crave the diet soda ritual and I mostly drink water and my I'll-kill-the-person-who-gets-betweeen-me-and-it morning coffee.
