Don't worry, Ms Jane, we have arrived at the Coast, though you are probably off work by now. Our surroundings are rather rustic and I have reminded my mother that we are "camping," or as close as I ever want to get, ever, because frankly I Don't Camp, and that is my policy, and I'm sticking to it. Anyway, we find ourselves in a canvas tent on a platform with enough room for two beds and a table, and damn if it isn't extremely blissful.
I found a tick crawling on my blanket, however. This is the downside of Nature; it tends to crawl. However. It is quite luxurious to be in a quiet place where we hear only the luff of tent walls and the twiddling of birds. Joy!
I find myself so tired that I imagined lying down and my limbs falling away from my body, one by one.
Word of the Day for Tuesday May 3, 2005
labile \LAY-byl\, adjective:
1. Open to change; apt or likely to change; adaptable.
2. Constantly or readily undergoing chemical, physical, or
biological change or breakdown; unstable.
My mother was witness to one day of my running around-ness, and she's all sore and tired, as well. Somehow I find that fact satisfying, like it proves my intensity. Yep, I've been working, all right.
You're blogging from a tent? I don't know how to feel about this!

Dude, if there are ticks in your tent, you're totally camping. Run to the nearest 7-11 before you decide that dehydrated food is a good idea!
