Good morning! It's quite dark outside and I could use a lot more sleep, and I forgot my medication last night so I didn't sleep well. But hey, it's Monday, so it isn't easy anyway. My cat is standing on my lap with his little head buried in my armpit. I totally understand, Milton. I do.
I suppose today I'll hear from the woman who could hire me. I don't feel I could send her anything that looked that good, but I tried, and that's all I could do.
Yesterday I had a good day with Sophie. Eliz was off with her friends in the mountains at an undisclosed location (I have no idea where she went, though she texted me a beautiful picture of a lake and forest) so Sophie and I bummed around and went to Target, out to lunch, etc. She opened up to me a lot and I was glad to hear what was happening with her. So often she is swept in the wake of her strong-minded sister. Not that Sophie is in any way weak. We walked over to the high school and went around the track. I had to stop after one circuit, but she continued for another. My back still isn't up to snuff yet.
"Up to snuff." Can you tell I've been watching British TV? Yep.
Also I had breakfast with my honey, and we laughed and giggled the whole time. It's just what we do. I make fun of her for being Paleo. Like I gestured to a fern and said Oh! Here's YOUR breakfast! Enjoy your FERN! Heh. I always tease her that a true Paleo diet would include stuff she scrounged from around the neighborhood. Worms, crickets, small dogs. I'm always pointing out road kill. I'm HILARIOUS. The thing with her, though, is that she gets really sick if she eats flour, dairy, or soy. It's just how she's wired up. So it's not pretentiousness that guides her eating.
Been trying to get my promise ring sized correctly. My fingers are sort of sausagelike at the moment so I need something bigger. Gah. Have to send the ring back. AGAIN.
