Oh em GEE it's hot. The faithful old air conditioner has been puffing away assiduously for the last couple of hours, and it's still hotter'n hell in here. We're watching all the Malcolm in the Middle episodes we have on TiVo and melting on the couch.
I'm thinking of getting a new futon before my sister gets here. My couch is flat and lumpy and I can't imagine it would be nice to sleep on. Though she's only here for two nights total. Hmm. All the same I'd like to have a couch that's comfortable.
Although our couch is often the site of a milk spill or some such.
Erm. Futon as couch. Spend a lot of time sitting on it in couch mode -- for my money, failure as both bed and couch.
I have an inflatable double bed complete with linens for your use while your sister is here -- as long as you can promise that kitties will not do the claw-deflating thing.
We solve this by deflating the inflatable bed each AM & putting it back in the container (which I will also loan).

And I have been a bad friend. The pool chez moi is always open (even if we have no shower -- and only The Blue Room for toilet).
