THe sun is definitely not up yet. It might be by the time I finish this post, but for now the windows are black. I'm reading the controversy on the Progressive Librarian's listserv all about a kid who was tasered at a Kerry speech. Everyone quite offended at what another person says about it. Also the picture of a mudflap woman reading a book that Wyoming public libraries are using for an ad campaign. Is it in the best taste? No. But every nuance of meaning has been examined on the list. Librarians are cantankerous!
I wish I didn't get up so early. I'm not sure what to do with myself. It has to be fairly quiet, of course. I wonder if next house I live in I won't need to sneak around so much? That would be nice. I don't know if it's realistic, though. Big houses like that would cost too much to rent. I need to be in Deadwood and near the kids' school, which limits things considerably. I wonder if I could be nearer the train station? Over in Badger's neck of the woods, or possibly in Sand Carlot, which is single-family-housing land.
Today: lots to do. I think I might get a jump on my next paper and do the research. I have the whole day free with nothing scheduled, so if I get something done on the paper and something done sending off more bipolar diary queries I'll have accomplished much.
See? The sun is just coming up. What good timing.
That mudflap lady reading idea is pretty funny. I had this idea of making mudflap guys with massive erections. They'd sell like hotcakes in the Castro and at gay pride parades everywhere!
