What is it with you California people and the pies? First Badger, now you.

I haven't seen a pie for months. Maybe we don't have them up here.

We are a pie-loving people. LONG SHOT OF BAY AREA FOLIAGE, WAVING IN THE WIND (announcer's voice)CLOSE UP OF PIE ON SHORE OF BAY, UNDER GG BRIDGE

"Scientists have long observed the ritual pie greeting that is a portent of spring among the restless natives of the Bay..." *chirp chirp, chirp chirp* *sneak sneak sneak* *SPLAT* *giggle giggle giggle*

"CUT! Print it!"

Scene: a messy, deskless, book-strewn room in the dark and pieless North. A middle-aged librarian is sitting on the floor, clicking on a laptop. Sort of like Carrie Bradshaw, but much frumpier.

Librarian, doubling over with laughter:

*snort* Hee hee hee! HAH! HOO! Ritual pie greeting! *uncontrolled and untranscribable whoops of laughter*
