I've heard many times, from other people who write, that you should never, ever read to your relatives. Particularly your sig others. Because what you want from them is some kind of trascendent validation of your project, sort of a "oh my god, you ARE the best writer ever to grace the earth, how DO you do it... I'm overwhelmed with lust but feel myself barely worthy to lick your boots...That's IT, we're getting a nanny so you can dedicate ALL your time to this, because the world needs you."
And what was rather nice was that I read my final chapter to Manny this morning, and he liked it.
I'd love to get everyone hiking this morning at Edgewo0d. Is it possible? Bibbi comes over at some vague time between 12 and 1. I'll call over at Squid's and see if there are any suckers/volunteers who want to accompany us.
Dude, hiking at EW is a before 11 A.M. or after 4 P.M. kind of activity at this time of year. HOT!

It was actually pretty shady on that trail that doesn't go straight up. We were there around 11ish. And a nice breeze!
