Stephen King: Dreamcatcher
Too gross for words.
Ann Patchett: Taft: A Novel (P.S.)
Nothing she wrote before Bel Canto can ever compare, but this novel was pretty good anyway.
Sara Gruen: Water for Elephants: A Novel
Wow, I really like this book. It's entertaining, has good characters and is well-plotted.
Karen Joy Fowler: Wit's End
Go, KJF!
Mei Ng: Eating Chinese Food Naked: A Novel
This book jumped around from character to character in point of view, which took some getting used to. Overall it was pretty entertaining.
Samantha Gillison: The Undiscovered Country
Sort of a dreamy read. A couple with a child go to the interior of New Guinea and their marriage frays gradually. With a surprise ending!
Khaled Hosseini: A Thousand Splendid Suns
In some ways better than his first, this book chronicles two women's lives in Afghanistan first under Soviet rule and then under the Taliban. I enjoyed it despite the hardships.
Anita Amirrezvani: The Blood of Flowers: A Novel
This was a good novel, very informative on the subject of rugmaking and social practices of the middle east a couple of hundred years ago.
Stanley E. Ely: Living Alone Creatively: How Twelve People Do It
Anne Tyler: Celestial Navigation
Each chapter is another character among people who know each other in Baltimore.
Ann Patchett: Run
The story of one fateful night when a family confronts itself. It's subtle and well-written and comes out in a satisfying way.
Kim Edwards: The Memory Keeper's Daughter
Great premise; a doctor delivers his own twins, and gives away the one with down syndrome to his nurse: sentimentally done. I enjoyed the book for the characters, however.
This is only a comment. In the event of an actual thought, you would have been informed of what to do by local officials.

this is all getting rather circular. Let's see if it flies beyond you, me and Tom.

My comment is this. Unreal Tournament is addictive. Do not, I repeat, do not stay up until 6:30am playing or your body will punish you.

Dude, I am commenting so much I don't have time for my own post.

Perhaps it will be "International Blog Commenting WEEK." This, too, would be fun. After all, Sunday is only for the Hard Core Blogger.

Does hard core really mean bored? Or maybe "still in pajamas in the afternoon".
In my humble opinion, International Blog Commenting Week would be a much more universally celebrated blog holiday. More time to reach out and really touch some people. In a comment sort of way, of course.

And the circle grows ever larger, extending all the way to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Next year, the universe!

New York, New York, it's a helluvva town...
Sunday is not only a day for hardcore bloggers, but also for procrastinating scholars who happen to blog. Either way, it's all good. :)

Must comment... Tired... So tired... Speaking in fragments...
Maybe I'm finally growing?

Nothing like getting in on the tail of things and what of those people born with tails? Brilliant and shameless self promotion!!! Kudos!
